History of Calvary Taking
a Stand
May 26, 2009 Calvary's Council unanimously passes
a motion rejecting any resolution at Montana Synod Assembly would change
the Bible's expectations for a pastor and it's definition of marriage
that being between one man and one woman.
June 23, 2009 Calvary's Council was deeply sadden
by unbiblical resolutions that passed at the Montana Synod Assembly in
June concerning human sexuality. In response, the council unanimously
decided to take a month to pray about how God would have Calvary respond
to this clear departure from the Word of God.

July 28, 2009 Calvary's Council unanimously agreed
that God was calling Calvary to take a stand against the unbiblical
teachings that were now being promoted by the E.L.C.A.. The council
reaffirmed Calvary's core values. It also passed a unanimously motion
creating a process of denominational realignment from the ELCA to the
LCMC. The main reason for this realignment was because the new teachings
being promoted by the ELCA were no longer in alignment with Calvary's
core beliefs.
